Lan Kwai Fong Hotel, macau, china 2014

Lan Kwai Fong Hotel is situated in the historical part of Macau new Praca do Lotus.

Soon being surrounded by new developments, the task was to heighten its visibility in the surrounding cityscape and revive the street façade. The media façade concept is derived from linear building design elements, inspired by Art-Deco style. A vertical and a horizontal band wrap around the tower and podium, the latter with varying density and considering typical viewing angles.

Together with the team of Lichtvision Berlin, who were fully in charge of the lighting design, we created several scenarios and visual concepts, that fit the hotels style and design ambition. Our task was to develop visuals that make use of the specific fixture arrangement and inconsistent media resolution, as well as to provide a dedicated content.
